Inox Green Energy Services has completed the acquisition of Wind World India Ltd’s (WWIL) 4.5 GW wind operations and maintenance (O&M) business for Rs 550 crore, expanding the scale of its renewable energy services operations in India.
The transaction takes Inox Green’s overall O&M portfolio to around 13.3 GWp. Following completion of the deal, the company will hold a 75 per cent stake in Vibhav Energy.
The acquired 4.5 GW portfolio generated approximately Rs 580 crore in revenue during FY26. Its assets are spread across major wind markets including Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.
The portfolio provides O&M services to customers including Tata Group, ReNew, Greenko Group, Apraava Energy and Hindustan Zinc.
The acquisition strengthens Inox Green’s position in the wind O&M segment while expanding its capabilities to service equipment from multiple original equipment manufacturers. The additional portfolio also provides the company with a wider geographic presence across key wind-producing states.
With the WWIL business added to its operations, Inox Green is targeting more than 20 GW of managed capacity in the near future.
The deal comes as India’s renewable energy services market witnesses increasing consolidation, with operators seeking larger portfolios, greater scale and broader geographic reach while expanding their base of long-term O&M contracts.
