SECI, Hintco Agree Key Terms For Indo-German Green Fuels Tender

Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and Germany's Hintco GmbH have agreed on key terms of a framework agreement to prepare, develop and implement a potential bilateral Indo-German H2Global tender for trading Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBOs).

The proposed arrangement builds on a Memorandum of Understanding signed between SECI and H2Global in November 2024 and subsequent discussions between the organisations. Subject to government approvals, SECI and Hintco will undertake detailed preparations for the proposed joint tender in consultation with the Indian and German governments.

The initiative is aimed at strengthening India-EU cooperation in green hydrogen and renewable fuels while developing channels for international trade in RFNBOs.

SECI Expands Clean Energy Partnerships

The latest development follows a series of agreements by SECI across renewa le energy and emerging clean-energy segments. Last month, SECI signed an MoU with HyperVault AI Data Center to explore captive renewable energy projects for supplying electricity to the company's upcoming data centre facilities in Telangana.

In June 2026, SECI signed its first 700 MW Commercial and Industrial renewable energy term sheet with Acme Cleantech Solutions, expanding its clean-energy supply portfolio beyond distribution companies to the C&I market.

In April 2026, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy designated SECI as the sole Renewable Energy Implementing Agency for issuing renewable energy procurement bids as an intermediary procurer.
