Ghar Ghar Solar Expands To 11 States, One UT
Tata Power Solaroof is also expanding its presence through its 'Ghar Ghar Solar' initiative, which is aligned with the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
Launched in 2024, the initiative has expanded across 11 states and one Union Territory — Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar and Chandigarh. These markets collectively cover a population of more than 90 crore.
The expansion comes as rooftop solar adoption grows across residential, commercial and industrial segments, driven by efforts to reduce electricity costs and increase access to distributed renewable energy.
