Vikran Engineering has secured an order worth approximately Rs 153.76 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India The project was awarded through domestic competitive bidding and covers the extension of the 400/220 kV Tumkur-II AIS pooling substation, along with civil works for a 300 MVAR STATCOM at the same facility.
The project forms part of transmission system strengthening at Tumkur-II to enable the integration of an additional 2.7 GW of renewable energy capacity into the grid through the tariff-based competitive bidding route.
Project To Be Completed In 21 Months
Vikran Engineering’s scope includes design, engineering, manufacturing, testing and supply of equipment and materials, as well as transportation, storage, erection, testing and commissioning of the package.
The work has been divided into separate contracts for the supply of goods and services. The execution period is 21 months from the date of issuance of the notification of award.
Vikran Engineering operates across power transmission and distribution, water infrastructure and railway electrification, with operations also covering solar EPC and smart metering.
The company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 3.99 crore in the first quarter of FY27, down 29.38 per cent from the corresponding period a year earlier. Revenue increased 11.04 per cent to Rs 141.59 crore during the quarter.
